Journey Through Lent with Embrace

Lent is often described as a wilderness season, a time of waiting, testing and reflection. But it is also a journey that leads us towards the resurrection and towards hope that refuses to let go. This Lent we invite you to take up instead of give up for Lent. Take part in our six Acts of Hope and use our range of Lenten resources to learn and worship together as the one household of God.

FREE Lent Reflections: “From Wilderness to Resurrection Hope”

A Lent Journey Through the Heart of the Holy Land

Each weekly reflection will include a video with a focus on a significant biblical location, presented by The Revd Su McClellan - Church Engagement Lead for Embrace, Bible readings from the Old and New Testament - which follow our Lent theme and connect with the Lectionary readings set for Lent, prayers, and some prompts helping us to move from reflection to action.

TAKE PART IN OUR ACTS OF HOPE

This Lent, we’re inviting you to take up rather than give up for Lent! You’re invited to join us and thousands more Embrace supporters to pray, act and give in solidarity with Christians across the Middle East as they live out their faith in their complex and troubled communities. Use the six action points below to drive your actions this Lent:

GIVE - Giving a donation to Embrace the Middle East transforms lives across the region.

From supporting Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza to running projects empowering women Egypt, your support makes a difference every single day.

LEARN - Deepen your understanding of the Christian communities in the Middle East, their history, what life is like now and the impact they have across the region.

EXPLORE CHRISTIANS IN THE MIDDLE EAST RESOURCES HUB

The Middle East is home to the oldest Christian communities in the world and has a rich diversity of Christian traditions.

PRAY - Pray for our partners, those they help and all the life changing work they do across the Middle East.

Our partners often tell us that knowing we are praying for their work really makes a difference to them each day. In our Prayer Room, you can find our prayers and devotions as well as sign up to receive our Prayer Diary. You can also sign up for our Lent Reflections emails “From Wilderness to Resurrection Hope: A Lenten Journey through the heart of the Holy Land”. Each weekly reflection will include a video with a focus on a significant biblical location, presented by The Revd Su McClellan.
