Emergency Employment Project in Bethlehem - Video update

The war in Gaza has caused unimaginable devastation in the Gaza strip, but it has also had a huge impact on the West Bank. The cancellation of work permits for Palestinians who worked in Israel and increased travel restrictions within the West Bank by the Israeli occupying powers means unemployment has soared. The tourism sector has also collapsed. In Bethlehem, which relied hugely on tourism, unemployment has risen to over 47%.

This year, we’ve been supporting an emergency employment project in Bethlehem, run by our partners the Pontifical Mission – you can find out more about it in our blog: ‘Sustaining Livelihood in Bethlehem – Blog’.

We’re delighted to share this video update from the project:

CRISIS APPEAL - PLEASE GIVE A DONATION TODAY

We need your help so we can continue to support projects like this across the West Bank and Gaza. The long-term damage done in Gaza on a physical, psychological and structural level is immense and the impact will be felt for decades, both in Gaza and across the region. Your generosity will mean our partners can get help to where it is needed most. Thank you.
