PRAY WITH US
Embrace’s Christian partners face many challenges working in situations of conflict, injustice and poverty. We ask you to join us in praying for the health and resilience of all our partners and their communities. You can download our prayer diary and find more prayer resources in our Prayer Room.
Weekly devotion: Pray for our partners in Gaza
Even before the devastating violence that began in October 2023, healthcare in the Gaza Strip was under extreme pressure due to the Israeli blockade. This week, join us in praying for our partner the DSPR-NECC as they provide vital healthcare services at their Rafah clinic.
Weekly devotion: Learning from others
This week we’re praying for a project we support that works with young people to tackle some of the root causes of growing violence in Arab communities in Israel. We’re also reflecting on the biblical idea of mentorship, and why it is important.
Weekly devotion: Christ’s compassion and concern for children
Find out how our partner is helping traumatised young Palestinians in the West Bank - and be inspired by the heart of Jesus towards children.
Weekly devotion: Pray for Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza
This week we’re praying for our partner, Al Ahli Anglican Hospital, in Gaza City. It was a mercy that this hospital in Gaza was able to keep its doors open and treat many wounded patients for so long. However, on 18 December, Al Ahli was left unable to function following IDF action. Please join us in prayer for the staff and patients.
Weekly devotion: Pray for the olive harvest in Palestine
This week, we’re praying for the olive harvest in the West Bank. Using the words of Psalm 1, we are also reflecting on what it means to make a stand for righteousness and justice.
Israel and Palestine: Prayers for peace
As troubling events unfold in Gaza and southern Israel, please join us in praying for a swift de-escalation to the violence and for peace to prevail.
Weekly devotion: What makes a good listener?
This week we’re praying for a project that takes a grassroots approach towards achieving peace and justice in Israel and Palestine. We’re also reflecting on the importance of sharing our stories and actively listening to other people.
Weekly devotion: What makes a good leader?
This week we’re inspired by a project the Palestinian Bible Society is running to train up a new generation of leaders in the church and the wider community. We’re also reflecting on the qualities that make a good leader.
Weekly devotion: What does it mean to desire mercy, not sacrifice?
This week we’re praying for our partner, Aviv Ministry, in Tel Aviv. We’re learning about the ways they serve people living on the streets of south Tel Aviv and we’re challenging ourselves to think about what it means to walk in mercy.
Weekly devotion: Let us not become weary in doing good
This week we’re learning about the incredible work of the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation - and challenging ourselves not to become weary in doing good.
Weekly devotion: How can we maintain hope?
This week we’re praying for children with disabilities in Palestine. We’re lifting up the work of the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre, which treats children and supports their families - and we are reflecting on the powerful hope we have as Christians.
Weekly devotion: Speaking up against injustice
This week we’re learning about an important project Embrace funds that advocates for Palestinians’ freedom of movement in the West Bank. We also reflect on what it takes to speak out on behalf of the voiceless.
Weekly devotion: What can YOU praise God for today?
This week we’re praying for two specialist education schools we support in Palestine - and reflecting on God’s care and compassion for individuals.
