International endorsement for Embrace-supported education centre

Accreditations from the globally recognised NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) is a mark of educational excellence. This week they gave their accreditation to the education centre and programs of our partner SKILD (Smart Kids with Individual Learning Needs) - making them the only centre in Lebanon to have this prestigeous endorsement.

NEASC officials visit SKILD to give their verdict on the accreditation.

Renowned journalist and newsreader, Marianne Zouein reflects on the work of SKILD and their new accreditation.

Embrace has been supporting SKILD since the education centre was established in 2011. Part of the work of our partner Thimar, it provides specialist intervention to help children with individual learning needs thrive in education - all the way up to degree level. They also run specialist courses for teachers and campaign for changes in Lebanon's education provision to ensure accessibility for all. In accepting the accreditation, SKILD said:

"After 15 years of unwavering dedication, excellence, and service, SKILD Center proudly celebrates a landmark achievement... More than a recognition of service quality, this milestone affirms a vision that has guided SKILD since its inception: a holistic approach that empowers children and youth with learning difficulties, equips parents and educators, and fosters a more inclusive and informed community."

It's wonderful to be able to celebrate this achievement of our sisters and brothers in Christ.
