Hiba was born in Lebanon in 1975, the same year that the civil war began. She describes a childhood full of fear and insecurity, but how in the midst of that her mother helped her to dream big, with a strong emphasis on education.

Hiba shares her unexpected journey to becoming a teacher and how she developed a big passion for working with children with additional learning needs. She describes the pioneering work of the SKILD Centre in Lebanon - and its mission to help children with additional needs to meet their potential and be valued in society.
