Embrace the Middle East to join Community of the Cross of Nails

We are delighted to announce that in December, Embrace the Middle East will be joining the Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN).

CCN is a global network of churches, schools, peace-building centres, and organisations inspired by the story of Coventry Cathedral’s destruction and renewal during the Second World War. Rooted in the powerful symbol of the Cross of Nails and the words “Father Forgive” inscribed on the cathedral’s ruined wall, CCN partners are united in a shared commitment to reconciliation, peace, and justice.

Guided by three core principles - healing the wounds of history, learning to live with difference and celebrating diversity, and building a culture of justice and peace - the CCN now includes 300 partners in 45 countries. Each member works in their own context to promote reconciliation, whether addressing conflict, division, or injustice at local, national, or international levels.

Embrace’s longstanding commitment to healing, justice, and peace in the Middle East aligns deeply with the values of the CCN. By joining this global community, Embrace affirms its dedication to reconciliation in places that experience deep trauma and division and strengthens its connection to a network of like-minded organisations. This partnership offers a powerful opportunity to share stories, learn from others, and stand together in hope and solidarity for a more peaceful world.

Embrace will be formally welcomed into the CCN during Choral Evensong at Coventry Cathedral on 7 December.
