Ecumenical Advent Service

ECUMENICAL ADVENT SERVICE - DON’T LET THE LIGHT GO OUT IN BETHLEHEM

2pm, Saturday 9th December 2023, in Glasgow Cathedral, Castle Street, Glasgow, G4 0QZ

Attend in person or watch a livestream

Join a unique Advent service where the twinned cities of Glasgow and Bethlehem will be linked in prayer for Peace in the Holy Land. The Glasgow Cathedral service will join with a simultaneous service in the Chapel of the Divine Child at Bethlehem University through a simulcast link (provided conditions in Bethlehem on the day allow).

We will pray for all those killed and injured, those taken hostage and those in anguish in Bethlehem and within our own communities here in Glasgow as they fear for family and friends. The community in Bethlehem will be gathered in the Chapel of the Divine Child at Bethlehem University.

There will be a reception in the Cathedral supported by the Lord Provost’s Office after the service. The service is free to attend and walk-ins are welcome on the day, however, to assist with our planning for catering please register.

Those who are unable to attend in person can watch a livestream of the service on the Glasgow Cathedral website: https://glasgowcathedral.org/watch
