Generous God

You sent your Son to live amongst us

As a sign of your enduring love for all humanity

And all of creation.

We give thanks for the continuing witness of those who walk in the footsteps of Jesus,

Responding to the needs of the marginalised and excluded,

Working for justice,

Building bridges to peace for all to cross,

Spreading the Good News through prayer and action for the common good

Especially in the Middle East.

Grant them, and us, the grace, humility, courage, and generosity to work together for the flourishing of all, in this week of prayer for Christian unity
